LOOKING FOR A HEALTHY YOU
Some people are never young, some are never old. I guess that is pretty much up to us as to where we want to be on that simple scale. I really hope we are never old in our thinking. Think young as it keeps us alive, interesting and vital.
We know that in dealing with relationship that they tend to be fragile and that is why they must be worked on with tender, loving care. We can never hold another, only behold them.
Life can be like a circus and we are the balancing act. There is physical balance - spiritual, emotional, financial and weight balance; just to mention a few. We are juggling a lot while we are on this stage - let's hope we are not playing the victim role.
There is a story about an old Cherokee telling to his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves. One is evil --- it is arrogance and temper, among other things. The other is good --- it is kindness, consideration, among many other virtues.
"The grandson thought about it and then asked, 'which wolf win?' The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
If we want to make a difference in our lives we will have to change our thoughts and command our muscles to move, often when they fear and dread to do so.
WE MAY NOT KNOW IT - BUT WE HAVE OPTIONS
The plate in front on you is the result as to where you decided to sit.
We have options today as to our actions. We can change any situation as long as we change our attitude towards it. We can see so much better and clearer when we lay down all our mental weapons and start to decide, plan, initiate and act in a cultured manner.
If something or someone is not paying for rent in your mind then they must go - evict them. The problem is that we frequently invite into our thinking these intruders who are like thieves of peace of body and mind. We entertain them and welcome them as overnight guests. Please don't get fooled anymore - shut the front door of your thinking before they have a chance to settle down on the comfortable sofa of our mind.
WE CAN PLAN, DECIDE AND ACT
In searching for what makes our heart sing we will likely have to do some legwork, which is called effort. The method of plan, decide, initiate and act can allow us the move more easily through the life experience with the likelihood that we will have a better success rate than ever before.
Most of the time we tend to be in a hurry to accomplish things with the consequence that we rush ourselves right into failure and we become discouraged and stop trying. This pattern can easily be reversed. It is the challenges that make the journey more enjoyable if we allow it by our choice. We can all make life better for ourselves and those around us if we plan, decide and act on any situation that previously use to baffle us.
